Equal access to information

Equal Sign is a new identity for a new approach to the issue of providing British Sign Language (BSL) information for the Deaf community.

Up until now there have been barriers to the production of BSL that have prevented the majority of organisations from taking this step towards equal access. Following the launch of Equal Sign and the ease and affordability with which English can now be translated, filmed and formatted in BSL the barriers have been removed.

We are not cutting corners to cut costs. Our production values and our company ethos insist that all our output surpasses the highest benchmarks of quality. A profesionally equiped video studio and highly experienced translation team ensure that video and language standards never falter.

More BSL means more awareness which means more BSL

Our aim is to increase awareness, increase exposure and increase demand. The result is more BSL.

As is common with many services, greater production volume allows a reduction in cost to the producer and that can be passed on to the client. Years of experience within the team means that we can optimise turnaround time and this also means less cost per project. But these simple cost saving measures are not the only things that make Equal Sign different.

Divide the Costs by reusing the video

It makes simple economic sense that if you can use a product more than once then you have another method of reducing cost. The question is, can that be done with video?

The answer is that here at Equal Sign we are developing a groundbreaking method of using server technology and generic video modules to acieve this goal.

Organisations such as local authorities, schools or even insurance companies have much information, that perhaps involves legislation, which varies little.
